Erik & Yuriko in Maui

So very fun to visit Erik & Yuriko at their place in Maui

Such a fun beautiful place

It was windy when we arrived.

But was gorgeous the whole time we were there.

Loved their ukuleles

And their coffee table book

And we did go surfing!

With their 12 ft long surfboard and their shorter board!

Not for the faint-hearted!

Up and at em.

Or you could just enjoy lunch at a surfer table.

Then you can relax on their balcony in the evening.
Perfect!

A one minute walk from their place. Gorgeous!

Out to Erik's favorite breakfast restaurant

We toured an abandoned Sugar Cane Plantation.

Huge machinery

A Portugese oven from the turn of the century

A  Try Pot for sugar canes and also whaling ships.

The machinery was very huge.

A Banyan tree

To the Fish Market for lunch
Yum!

The surfers don't want you taking their parking spots

But how can you not when these are the turtles!
I counted 64!!
And they were moving around quite a bit

This size!

And then on the same beach we saw a Monk Seal
sunning itself!

He was quite comfortable.

We also had to stop for the very best Snow Cone.
So very soft and smooth

You might wonder what Elwood is doing with a hammer & pliers

Opening a macadamia nut.
What a huge size!

And of course I love all the flora

And always loved our time on the beach
and with Erik & Yuriko

The big beach

This hill always had a rain cloud above it
But it stays there and never came our way.

And we drove to Lahania
When we stopped here for a picture we saw whales
~ spouting and breaching. So fabulous

We also stopped at the Aquarium on the way.
So very well done with amazing displays of fish
Yuriko's favorite fish.

The colors and coral were amazing!
And the 3D video of the humpback whales was incredible

The little bump in the sand is a fish!
 Talk about blending in....

And in Lahaina we saw the largest Banyan Tree

It's shade covers 1 acre

Just beautiful!

And we had another fabulous fish meal.
Delicious!

Shrimp!

And we watched the sunset

And took pictures of it.

A fabulous time in Hawaii.
Thanks Erik & Yuriko
