Edmonton Easter Weekend

He is Risen. He is Risen Indeed! I am so thankful that Christ has indeed risen and because of that we can know peace with God. I just finished reading a book by Karen Hughes Ten Minutes from Normal and she sums up what I feel: "My faith instills in me a deep sense of humility and gratitude, reminding me how often I fall short and how much I need the Savior, and how thankful I am that God has done for us what we could not do for ourselves. My faith calls me to try to live a life that is a joyful response to that good news." We had a wonderful Easter weekend: Yuriko doing her job. And Erik his. We had such a fun time in Edmonton... The old Spaghetti Factory, West Edmonton Mall, Ikea, Sushi... We spent Saturday at the Mall. Need I say more.... How was I talked into this?!?!? A surprise visit with Russ & Rosemary in Tim Horton's in Lloydminister.

Samuel Lars Larson June 30 - July 9, 2009

Samuel Lars went to be with Jesus on July 9th at 2:59 pm. He was being held by his mom & dad. Oh, how we will miss him but we rejoice that he now has a perfect heart. We were privileged to love him and hold him these past nine days. "In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever." - Psalm 16:11 A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 12th at 4:00 pm at Bethel Cemetery in Frisco, Texas (corner of Eldorado and Rogers Road, near 8000 Eldorado Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75034). All are welcome to attend. If desired, contributions in Samuel's memory may be made to Orphan Outreach (www.orphanoutreach.org). Heaven is closer to our hearts and our hearts are closer to heaven. "When we all get to heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be."

Grieving with Hope

We were so thankful for family and friends who came to grieve with us. What a support and encouragement. Thank you to all who have prayed for us and continue to do so. We are so appreciative. The FBC Frisco church family and our great Sunday School class graciously put on a meal for us. What a huge blessing! A very special thanks to Barbara & Lillian! We are so grateful. Samuel Lars is buried in the same cemetery as Ellis Anne Files. We look forward to our reunion someday.
