Fryeburg, Maine State Fair

The 166 year old Fryeburg Fair.
Elwood had just found it on line
and decided we should go. 😊

We flew into Manchester, New Hampshire and drove to the White Mountains.
The trees were just starting to change.
So spectacular!

We drove the Kancamagus a 34 mile scenic highway
in northern New Hampshire from Lincoln to Conway

It was hard to capture the beauty.
It was overcast for the majority of the time we were there.

Lovely rivers and water falls.

fabulous covered bridges
150 years old

And some very narrow roads, reminiscent of Scotland and Ireland.

We celebrated Elwood's birthday!
And in the coffee shop met someone
else celebrating his birthday.

Mount Washington, is the highest point in the Northeastern United States.
In the picture below, the highest point is Mt. Washington

Of course we saw some typical New England architecture.

The Woodsman's day at the Fair was a lot of fun.

Non-stop competitions with chainsaws, axes, logging trucks, etc

And of course, lots of livestock.
