We took a quick trip to Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The fall colors were wonderful
Elwood's grampa, Isal, had immigrated to the USA from Sweden in 1896 and settled with a brother in Alma Center, Wisconsin before moving north to Saskatchewan to homestead there.
It was fun to see the countryside here ~ so similar to Sweden!

MaryBeth's daughter, Malia & Peter in Minneapolis

The wedding had taken place in San Diego in August.

My nephew and his wife, Ian & Carryn, had one at their wedding 17 years ago!

On Sunday we toured the American Swedish Institute.

Of course, we shopped & ate at Mall of America!
