Samuel Lars Larson June 30 - July 9, 2009

Samuel Lars went to be with Jesus on July 9th at 2:59 pm. He was being held by his mom & dad. Oh, how we will miss him but we rejoice that he now has a perfect heart. We were privileged to love him and hold him these past nine days. "In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever." - Psalm 16:11 A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 12th at 4:00 pm at Bethel Cemetery in Frisco, Texas (corner of Eldorado and Rogers Road, near 8000 Eldorado Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75034). All are welcome to attend. If desired, contributions in Samuel's memory may be made to Orphan Outreach (www.orphanoutreach.org). Heaven is closer to our hearts and our hearts are closer to heaven. "When we all get to heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be."

Settled

Well, Grace is settled in the Weyburn Special Care Home. We are so thankful that she is happy and enjoying it. She has taken us on a tour of the home showing us the birds, the aquarium and the cat that roams around. She seems fine with her room and has introduced us to residents and staff alike as "her best friend." Elwood says the new lawnmower will cut the grass in half the time! Our plan is to move into the farm for 6 weeks this summer. We decided it should have some long overdue renovations. We will keep you posted as to the progress. It is tricky fitting it all in with packing, visiting and painting.

Japan - Tokyo

Erik & Yuriko met us at the airport! It was so great to see them! Tokyo has the feel of New York's Time Square in places.... And the feel of ancient Japan in other areas. The wooden hanging notes are prayers written and hung in the Buddhist temple. The little white notes at the back on the left are the same thing. Yuriko's great uncle Shuji and Aunt Akie took us out for a fabulous lunch and then back to their home for coffee. We had such a wonderful time with such wonderful people. We hope we meet again. Saw our first Bamboo trees. So tall and straight. The fence around this area was made all out of bamboo. Also my first experience driving on the 'wrong' side of the road. What a feeling! And in our first hotel ( and every hotel we stayed in), we were greeted with slippers to wear, pajamas laid out for both of us and of course, a note written in English. The next morning we got up early and headed out to the Fish Auction and markets. Incredible! These are ...
