This is our first stop on our trip to Sweden.
A ride on the Staten Island Ferry
It was windy but gorgeous
The open ocean. We have just finished reading the book "The Emigrants" by Vilhem Moberg that describes the conditions in Sweden when Elwood's grandfather left in about 1893. It is amazing to think that Isal Larson sailed this ocean for a couple months to get to the new land while we will jump on a plane and be in Sweden in about 9 hours.

This is the church Elwood's grandpa Israel Larson attended in Sweden.
We will worship there this Sunday morning.
