Family at Eriksgården

We rented bikes from this place and started our journey to find our relatives.

9 Kilometers. We needed a water break.

We stopped for coffee at this cute place in Ryd. Someone there knew
who we were looking for and how to find them

We biked another kilometer and came to Tånneryd.

Then found Eriksgården

Marianne was in her workshop.

Her looms.
She makes rugs and taught classes on weaving. Carl taught wood working.

The cellar where the King of Sweden was hidden in the war with the Danish.

They still use the cellar. It was nice and cool even though it was 32 outside.

The sign on the barn
Their water comes from this pump.
Erik & Ingrid, Carl & Marianne and us. Erik & Carl's grandfather was a brother to Elwood's grandfather Samuel Elof Molberg. They called him Elof and said that Elwood looked like him.

The old family Bible and Hymnbook. The hymnbook was printed in 1817.
Coffee in the garden
The bike ride home through beautiful forest and rivers.
We found wild strawberries. Delicious.
