Malmö ~ Copenhagen ~ Markaryd

This is our hotel in Malmö. The Scandic Kramer was built in 1876 and is thought to have Mrs. Kramer still living there. She didn't bother our sleep at all!!
We took the train intending to say farewell to Rae & Linda as they left on their cruise. Unfortunately we never made it there due to some non-stops on our train but we did travel through some lovely residential areas in Copenhagen!
Then to the most popular area in Copenhagen. The longest shopping street, the palace, the stock exchange plus many squares and fountains where people just hang out.

One lady stopped to help us as we were pouring over our map. She was so delighted to hear that we were from the USA as she spent one year in Detroit. Then we told her we lived in Canada before that ~ Saskatchewan & Manitoba and she was speechless as she had done her thesis on Canadian Prairie Literature. She was delighted to meet us!!

We just happened to walk past the Canadian Embassy. Oh Canada!
There are many buskers. Here are just a couple..

We have visited churches in every city and each has incredible pipe organs.
Malmö was no exception!

Then on to Markaryd. That is the name of the village where Sam Molberg was born
and where he was living when he left for America.
