Stockholm is very beautiful
I love the architecture!
On July 2nd, traveled by train to Borlange where Elwood & I rented a car and Rae & Linda took the bus to Ilbacken. They thought they were going the whole way by the train but were told the train was 'broken'. We also thought the car might not fit all our luggage, but it would have! The only other thing that happened is... we found out our ticket was for a different train car than Rae & Linda's so this picture is before we had to move.
Elwood can't believe he is driving a car with Swedish plates!
Our relatives met us as we came into Dala-jarna. Rune, Helena, Maria & Staffan, Martin & Johan! How wonderful to meet these Swedish relatives!
Our hotel
Rae & Linda's is the same....
Matz came with his 1959 restored Cadillac. A great ride.
Rune's home
A typical Swedish supper.
Potatoes, meatballs, salad, picked herring and delicious bread.
Breakfast the next morning
Then to Gun-Britt's home. A cousin who lives in an incredible home with so much history.
The room was so inviting.
I played and Helena and I sang a duet... Jesus Loves Me
Yes, a pump organ.
Lots of wonderful visiting.
One of the homes on her property.
Then on to Matz's and Cayene's home. And a delicious meal plus the maps of 200 years ago and the heritage books with Isal Larson's name and the date he went to America.
The School Grandpa would have attended. It is now redone and Matz's parents live here.
On Grandpa Larson's childhood home. The house is gone.
Then we visited with this man who lives in a one room home and
has no electricity or running water.
