Canada, Sweden & Mexico visited us last week. Bill & Betty (aka Harry & Bonnie) and Dave were here for the weekend. It was SOooooooo much fun to see them and spend time together. It went by far too quickly. We were sorry that Kayla was busy and couldn't join us. Hopefully next time.
Of course we spent time in the pool.
We couldn't miss the NHL playoffs - especially since Dave had worn his Penguins jersey
Larson & Secily were given new sunglasses from Harry & Bonnie. They are ready for the Texas sun!!
Earlier in the week we enjoyed supper with a new friend, Nils from Sweden. We met him in January and he was back in Texas. He is a great pianist and we enjoyed some fun time around the piano.
Two days before Nils we had some of Jeff & Chandra's friends from Mexico for breakfast. It was fun to meet friends who knew them from Chihuahua.
This past week, we experienced our first major thunderstorm in tornado season. We have had some heavy rains and thunder & lightning and even tornado sightings since we have been here but this was by far the biggest and most severe. A huge tree fell into the pool and other tree branches from the park were broken. Tornadoes did touch down but none near us. We were without power for 25 hours. Thankfully we were safe the whole time. We know that our laundry room is our best shelter.
This tree was blown down in the storm. It was a couple of blocks away from our home but you can see how huge the truck was. The roots are up in the air. Wished I could have taken the picture before the city cut the branches off!!
Anders is growing so much. He is smiling and now rolling over! What a smart boy!!!
