Left England and flew to Munich Germany.
Stopped at this incredible bakery.

The famous MayPole in Vitualienmarkt,
the market at the Square
The next day we traveled by train to see
the Dachau Concentration camp.
What a horrible, evil thing.
The actual door that people from 34 nations walked through
In 1933 the Nazis established their first concentration camp
outside the town of Dachua, 18 Km from Munich.
This was the role model for all the other camps.
Elwood in front of one of the barracks
the main hall
The trench and barb wired fence around all of the grounds
Thankfully, it was liberated by the USA in April 1945.
The door is open now.
Thank God

Doe a deer a female deer.....
The wisteria in the Mirabell Garden
Across the river is the birthplace &
childhood home of Mozart
Attending Sunday morning service in the Cathedral.
When we came out of church,
A little festival was going on
With an Austrian Band
A look from the Fortress over the city
Conor & Elwood with the cannon
The Marionettes were amazing, a work of art.

Salzburg is the city of Spirals
Peggy, Connor & us on our way to the convent.
We found it.
The Nonnberg Convent where Maria Van Trapp was a novice.
In the Abbey
And in their chapel
The yellow house was another used in the Sound of Music
Randomly meeting some locals
And then on to Vienna ~

The cathedral
Many buildings have statues on the roof
The statue of Mozart
And the Vienna Opera House,

So opulant
Amazing to think how many incredible musicians
have performed here.
It was too bad we couldn't stay for the evening concert.
But I loved being it the building.
